The Dnipro runs wide through the city. Opposite Podil and the centre, Trukhaniv Island has woods, paths and beaches, reached on foot; from it you see the hills of the right bank and the domes along them.

Sights

Trukhaniv Island and the footbridge, and the view of the Lavra and the right bank from the water.

Eating and drinking

Bring a picnic from Goodwine.

Staying

Stay in Podil at the Fairmont, by the bridge.

Look back at the hills from the island.

Our advice: go in summer, early in the day.
