About St Sophia’s Cathedral
St Sophia’s Cathedral, designed in UNESCO’s words to rival Hagia Sophia in Constantinople, is the heart of the National Preserve “Sophia of Kyiv”, which also cares for St Andrew’s Church and the Golden Gate. The preserve’s museums close during an air alert and visitors are asked to go to the nearest shelter (sofiia-kyivska.ua).
